2016 Lowe Tinja Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon

Product Description

The Lowe family’s ‘Tinja’ property has been in the family for five generations and is the home to the Lowe winery. Although skilled cool climate winemakers Mudgee is not a place to grow the best Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Noir, apart from certain unique vineyards. Our Tinja range reflects the fruit that comes into the winery from some of the best vineyards in NSW. The whites in particular reflect some of the best cool climate vineyards and our style is distinctive in its delicate handling of fruit. We are always seeking to work with the best fruit, using natural acidity and labourious pressing techniques resulting in wines that are aromatic, fresh and delicate; a challenging combination to achieve.

David Lowe’s Notes: I've only ever wanted to be a winemaker. I've been doing it now for 35 years - that's a good thing! I still love it. It's what gets me up in the morning, puts a smile on my face and provides the drive to keep doing it better and better. I can't separate any one part of winemaking over any other – it's the diversity of the activities from being on the tractor, amongst the vines, harvest, winemaking, bottling & packaging, marketing, selling and telling the story of Australian, NSW, Mudgee and Lowe Wines that are all part of what I do.
