The Lowe family’s ‘Tinja’ property has been in the family for five generations and is the home of the Lowe winery. It is here that the Tinja wines are made from grapes grown in premium wine regions of NSW.
The Tinja Chardonnay is made from grapes grown on Mudgee's Poets corner vineyard owned by Glen Sargent. These vines are now 45 years age and show their age through the concentration of flavour in the grapes. This is a new style Chardonnay; lighter in alcohol, a smidgeon of oak (you can't taste it) and no residual sugar.
This is a new style Chardonnay; lighter in alcohol (12.5%), a smidgeon of oak (you can't taste it) and no residual sugar. It’s a bit of an antidote to the stuff we all used to make in the 80s. This means it isn’t woody, not sweet and won’t dominate food.
