Another of our Limited Release museum wines which we have carefully cellared for 11 years. It is still complex and full flavoured, with a melding of the fruit, tannins and oak.

David Lowe's comments from a recent tasting of this wine:

"This is a lovely example of a older Hunter Valley red. 2000 was a great vintage, with this wine showing a touch of leather nuances.  A fantastic cheese wine, with just the right tannin structure."

"Merlot is often stuffed at this age, but not this one; a great surprise from the cellar."
